Well, the not-a-cat-anymore is out of the bag now:

OS X MAVERICKS IS HERE! WOOHOO!

And it’s… FREE! WOOHOO AGAIN!

But… you may be wondering what happened to your favorite tool.

Where is the final version of Lion DiskMaker for Mavericks ?

Well… it’s not there. Yet. I took a bit too much of time to try to polish some aspects and push a few new features in it, and as I am not a particularly gifted developer (I always feel weird to call myself developer…), it takes more time than I thought.

But now that Mavericks is here, what can you do ?

Well, first, download it. And don’t hesitate too much… I mean, FREE, comeon ! Just take care of the compatibily with your usual software.

Once it’s downloaded… DON’T UPGRADE NOW. Launch Lion DiskMaker  3b3, and build your boot disk as usual. Just take care of ONE single thing:

DON’T FEED THE MAVERICKS INSTALLER AFTER MID…

Woops, sorry, wrong story. Just :

DON’T MOVE THE INSTALLER OUTSIDE OF THE /APPLICATIONS FOLDER.

Really. Don’t try to put it on another disk, your home folder, on your cat’s head, whatever. Leave it in /Applications.

THEN launch Lion DiskMaker 3 beta 3. It’s still available here. And build your boot disk.

Once the process is done, NOW you can install Mavericks. And enjoy it.

Maybe.

If there is no bug.

One can dream 🙂

Anyway, I hope you’ll be able to use Lion DiskMaker without major issue and hope to release the finale version quite soon.

Thanks for your patience!
